Mandatory for implementation

To introduce products to the market of Ukraine it is necessary to assess their conformity with technical regulations, which are normative legal documents mandatory for execution.

A technical regulation is a legal act which defines the characteristics of products or related processes and production methods, including the relevant administrative provisions, compliance with which is mandatory. It may also include or exclusively contain requirements for terminology, marking, packaging, labelling or labeling as they apply to the product, process or production method.

In total, there are 91 documents in the Register of technical regulations.

Among them

  • 70 technical regulations were approved by respective Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
  • 11 technical regulations were approved by orders of relevant ministries;
  • 1 technical regulation is the Law of Ukraine.

Only 6 technical regulations do not have analogues in the legislation of the European Union.

76 technical regulations are harmonized with EU directives or EU regulations. Among them, there are technical regulations harmonized with European directives of the new approach (products in the European Union are marked with CE marking).

Directives and Regulations of the European Union are constantly updated. The technical regulations of Ukraine are also being updated while harmonizing them with the latest versions of European documents on conformity assessment.
