Product testing

One of the important functions of conformity assessment is to test products for compliance with requirements of certain standards referred to in declarations of conformity and certificates of conformity or type verification certificates.

When assessing the conformity of products to technical regulations, it is necessary to confirm that these products meet a number of standards providing methods for assessing the safety of a particular product according to the relevant characteristics.

These standards are determined by the manufacturer at the product design stage.

If the manufacturer is non-resident of Ukraine (despite the fact that the tests could be carried out in laboratories of the manufacturer's country of residence), in Ukraine, the tests should be carried out by a laboratory accredited by the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine (NAAU) according to DSTU ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

The number of testing laboratories accredited by NAAU is 849.

The number of accredited calibration laboratories is 35.

The list of laboratories, whether testing or calibration, contains a section “Generalized scope of accreditation”. However, such a generalized scope does not allow determining whether there is a particular standard in the scope of laboratory accreditation. To do this, it is necessary to analyze the full scope of accreditation.

To ensure a professional approach to testing products in full compliance with legislation of Ukraine on technical regulation, UCPS, LLC carries out a set of works to determine the necessary regulatory framework for the safety of certain products that are subject to a particular technical regulation.

We also analyze the scopes of accreditation of testing laboratories to find out which of the testing laboratories in the scope of accreditation has a particular standard. We provide service for product testing by a particular laboratory, concluding a corresponding agreement with it.

UCPS, LLC provides a similar service when assessing the conformity of products to European directives regarding their testing in the notified European laboratories.
