When manufacturing products, the manufacturer should use normative documents.
The Law of Ukraine "Ukraine On Standardization" defines a normative document.
The normative documents include national standards and codes of common practice adopted at the national level by national Authority for Standardization.
The normative documents that can be registered by business entities are standards (enterprise standards), codes of common practice and technical specifications.
In Ukraine, the most common normative documents of enterprises (business entities) are technical specifications.
Technical specifications - are normative document setting out technical requirements for the product, process, or service. This document is developed directly by the manufacturer and should be registered by him. After registration of technical specifications, they acquire the status of intellectual property of the manufacturer.
It should be noted that manufacturer can order development of technical specifications to a third party specializing in development of normative documents.
At the discretion of the manufacturer who owns the technical specifications, they can be entered in the register of one of the Centers for Standardization and Metrology maintaining such registers. However, such a procedure has only an informational component, which can contribute to the promotion of the manufacturer's products on the Ukrainian market, as additional advertising campaign.
